Believe it or not, that's a comma! It's not super well designed as far as clarity is concerned, I guess. >< Too many commas anyway - fixed!

That pizza distribution will probably work out alright unless Kay is especially famished, or his mom is a bigger eater than her tiny coyote body would have you believe.

There was a time when 6 pizzas for three people would not have seemed that excessive, depending on this particular pizza place's definition of "large".

Then again, I never really got full for the entirety of my teenage life. I just got less hungry. That metabolism left a long time ago, and from the look on the mother's face*, her amortal-ness doesn't come with a super metabolism and commensurate dietary needs. Maybe he was ordering with the intent of left overs. I often do that, as I don't get out much.

*Sorry, I can't remember her name, if it was ever given.
