I still have reservations about Mr. Trove's methodology, but I can't wait to hear P's breakdown of the situation.

I suspect the difference is more along the lines of the difference between legally wrong, morally wrong, and wrong only if you don't have permission.

Trying to make somebody conform to a particular viewpoint after being hired by their parents for that express purpose... Well, I'd say creepy and wrong on many levels, but also, to an extent, exactly what her parents wanted from him. They didn't know P was real, after all. They just knew their daughter was so insistent that her imaginary friend was real, to the point of alienating anybody who disagreed that he was real, is exactly the kind of thing we treat with drugs these days.

Sure, P is real, but her parents didn't know that. The doctor did, though, which crosses a line for me.
