For a moment, I did wonder whether the trinket seller had sold Kay a fake or placebo charm. Judging by the way it knocked her, P and SFA to the floor, it seems legit. :p

Our witch might be a bit spacey, but certainly not a crook!

Who knew it had a recoil?

Certainly not Kay, that's for sure.

Interesting. Kay, P and Mister Trove are *all* knocked backward quite violently. But Kay's parents are just unbalanced enough to put their hands on the kitchen counter to steady themselves - or that's what it looks like.

So, are the vibrations directional? They're certainly indiscriminate, and it looks like the amulet is very much a last gasp defence, as it probable leaves the wielder unable to either defend themselves or run - unless Kay just needed to be braced in anticipation, and it really isn't as strong as it seems.

In which case it might not be much of a defence against anything big, strong and with sure footing (hoofing, tentacling, whatever).

When did she get that?

The shop where she bought the amulet starts at this comic http://kayandp.thecomicseries.com/comics/553
It took a bit of digging for the right page, between not remembering how to search just within a given website, the limited descriptions on stories, and the lack of issue specific tags. I'm not blaming any of that on the writer, though I do bring it up partially for consideration, should she have somebody both willing and able to do some work on the site. She should not do this work herself, as it would delay updates and I need my fix, yo =P

Ha, it's one of those things that would probably be helpful, huh? I didn't think it would be so important when I started posting pages, but here we are. I'll try to remember going forward! ><

Nice. I had just forgotten about the dingus, and as soon as she whipped it out, I was, like, "oh yeah! THAT dingus!"
Not just for repelling unicorns any more.

This comic has never bored me once. Then there's these moments where you impresses me. Even taking the time to set up when the rare action happens, all in a very interactive setting.

This is absolutely my favorite ongoing web comic.
