My utmost apologies for the page being up a day late. For those of you who don't follow my tumblr or twitter you may not know, but about three weeks ago my cat was diagnosed with cancer. I've had her since she was a baby, and we've been kind of dealing with it the best we could. Suddenly, Thursday morning she crashed fast and hard. She couldn't walk and was very distressed so we knew it was time to do the humane thing and put her down. Luckily I've had some time to cope emotionally with the idea that she would pass soon, but the sudden thrust of it into reality was quite a shock. I spent most of yesterday not doing anything.

Today is a little better, and I'm sure tomorrow will be too. In the end she passed without pain or great trauma - she let us know she was ready to go, and we respected her wishes. I'll miss her terribly - she was so loving and beautiful, but I am lucky enough to have a really great support system of friends, family and you guys - plus another loud-mouthed cat to keep me distracted at home.

Again, I hope you can forgive the delay of Thursday's page, and that you enjoy it and the current story arc.

Next week I'm going to try and put together the next kickstarter for Volume 2 of Kay and P, which was much delayed by the news of my cat's sickness and her last few weeks.

Thanks very much,

Condolences for your loss. Personally, I was more concerned than annoyed by the delayed page. I was thinking: "this isn't like her, to miss an update." I'm just glad you are well and wish you better.

And good luck on the Kickstarter! Maybe they'll take Paypal this time around!

Thanks for the explanation. No apology necessary, since all pain hurts, and can shake the emotions. I'm sorry for your loss.

I empathize with the passing of a pet. It's never easy but with closure comes healing.

Wonderful work, btw, I love how your line art and colors complement each other. <3
